So what happened... It was super fun! In the end I took the 4th place out of 6 participants in 4WD. My first race ever and it was a great experience. The car held up well and the loose track surface acted as a slipper which saved my drive line a bit I believe. The tires I used was not optimal though and in some corners I did brake to soon. Also, a lot of big mistakes where made!

Those tripples were killer! Amazing how much faster the 4wd cars go. Makes me want to race again. Your mid looked every bit as good as the yokomos. Surprising how well the avantes went too.

Yes, it was hard to pass the triples nicely every lap. Next year I have to try other tires. Maybe I should listen more careful what the local racers say about tire choice

Next race on the agenda is in February! Luckily I don't have to travel that far...

That's a full set for 4WD with pre glued tires/rims (12mm hex). The offset is okay for a Mid but not 100% perfect.

The car is beautiful. Just a note however, the rear of your car looked to have very little toe. Before you spend too much time on setup you need to make sure you have 3* per side, or the back end will be very unstable. Generally speaking the MID had almost none out of the box, you may be able to use the Lazer ZX blocks which will get you up to 2*. However I am pretty sure you are capable enough to make a 3* rear bracket. Good luck -Jeff

Just use the optional rear brackets for the Kyosho Spider TF-1 (= narrow Optima Mid). It's option SPW-1, 2, or 3. Although I am not sure whether you can get 3 degrees out of them...
