Heck ya! This thing is sweet! I cant wait to see the Tekin Gen2 system in it!

My next kit is going to build is Schumacher's Cat K1. I've heard some good things about the fit and finish on those as well.

I have the SX3; it was a nice build. The shocks were super easy to bleed too. Not sure what they did different but they perfect first try.

I'm still waiting for you to run it, so that I can decide to pick one up and convert it as well.

I've been busy with other things so I just havent had the spare time to finish it yet.
My brother has his running and he says its almost impossible to flip it over.
There's a TRF801xt thread on the URC forum and they have a bunch that are running

Decided on the Tenshock system....
Got 10K in the center diff, 7K in the front and 5K in the rear. I dyed the wheels also I think it looks way better.
Cant wait to test the 6S here shortly

I drove the tamiya around for the first time on my 1/10th scale track. Its really awesome but the track was too small for me to really open the TRF up ... Either way, I love this RC. Once I'm done building the bigger track, this truck will be really-really awesome to race.
I've ordered up the tamiya spring tuning set for the front and rear. They should be here today along with my 2 other nib TRF801xt kits I bought for lifetime parts support. Gotta love this truggy

Nice build.

There's a great build thread on TamiyaClub on this model...

So much so i got the author to get me a kit and ship it to the UK. I've started my build this week, paused currently waiting on better 25mm bolts ! I'm using the Kershaw Designs motor mount, with Tekin RX8 / T8 ESC motor combo.

Darn this board... these pictures convinced me to buy one to convert to electric while I am in the middle of finally putting a new chassis on my Clodbuster... and possibly convert my Ofna Ultra LX into an electric vehicle as well.

Any suggestions for budget bashing tires/wheels for this beast?

Tires are expensive. Try and match brand wheel with tire.

I've noticed. Even the RTR tires for my Stampede are pricey.

I was able to buy 3 pairs of various tires for my Clodbuster for $15 a set of 4 with wheels and bought all he had.

Ah, just found NitroRCX has some pretty cheap. Should work for driving around the neighborhood.
