Gee....look at that, an RC10CE with C stamp, worlds style bulkhead, black arm configuration, and TQ 73/23 tires. Seems like someone (ahem

) predicted this in the 6035's and 6036's...
That car would have come with a Viper shell. I'd love to see the other side of the box, and anything else like paperwork that was in there

Okay, from what I understand now I have a late build champ edition car. Possibly with a mish mash of parts from the factory. After looking at the pics it seems to have decals hiding under the tire bags.
I have a new viper body that would look cool on this car, could that be deemed as correct?
Also, I was just looking for a regular rc10, and I see there are people on here that have large collections.
One last thing, is the force 2 motor anything special? never heard of one before.
Thanks again!

When I get the car I will be happy to post pics if anyone is interested. Nice to know the viper body could be correct.

the only mish mash of parts on that car are the aluminum shock caps. normally on a ce they would be plastic.
it's also not a "late" car. they made a bunch of them with all black parts after that one. it's a "mid" stealth ce.

Thanks for clarifying!

Great score for a $100 and thanks for letting me use the pictures! I may need some normal sizes sent to
[email protected] if that is not to much trouble? I will use your car in the 25 Years of the RC10 thread! I still think a Protech II body would be better as the only known Stealth CE with a Viper body is a Late all black version! But Reg could be right about the Viper, as at that time AE was using all the old stuff and new parts they could find to make up kits! This is fantastic, I love when these things surface! It just brings things to light!

As soon as I get the car I will be happy to take some quality pics and send them to you. Maybe I will get lucky and it will have a body included. I didn't see one in the pics that were listed but you never know.
Thanks again and I just got done with the 25 years thread. I learned more in that thread than I ever thought possible about these cars.

So here's a question for the collectors out there... does that "please don't run it" mandate apply to any never-run car, or is there something about this one that makes it unique? I ask because I have a later CE, all black parts, plastic shock caps, that was assembled badly and never run. The motor and body are missing, but I have the mechanical speed control still in the bags, unassembled. It's not as close to new-in-box as this one (and the box is long gone), but it's still basically a brand-new RC10.
I have taken it apart and stashed it in a Tupperware container, and had planned on saving it for a rainy day, but eventually rebuilding and running it. Should I not?

For me personally, unless the car has race pedigree. It should be un-run. But I don't scoff at collections that are different than mine either. They made more CE cars than any other version too, so with that said I don't know that they will ever be as collectible.

For me any older car that has never been ran, should stay that way, if it lasted this long, it was meant to be, but on the other hand, NIP parts that have lasted 20 years, don't last very long in my hands, unless they go to a specific part collection.

I say never use a mint vintage car! There are many cheap used ones you can bash!

I have a new built from box CE with alum black caps also. I thought it must be common.

Ok, ok. I won't run it. And Hudson won't run his. But if I get to be 70, and all my other RC cars are gone and that one is still sitting on the shelf, I'm running it.
