The MP-6 International was the 1st fully optioned car costing 700.00 now this is a work of art. MP-6 International always has white springs if original

I can't remember how much the MP5-EVO1 and EVO2 (long wheel base) cost but those were full options (they actually had more hop ups than the MP6 International) and big bucks as well....first of the Kanai editions. Prior to those were the 'Turbo' versions eg Turbo Burns and Turbo Inferno which came with some hop-ups.

here in the US we only get what they sell us, back then it was only through great planes distrubiting and I have most of kyoshos catalogue and handbooks as far as options my International has every option that my mp777 sp1 and sp2 have, It came with 23 optional parts no wheels are tires,I cant argue that the mp-5 evo wasnt the 1st if somebody out there has a kyosho catalogue and handbook offering it in the U S, id like some more info thanks

Here are the pictures of my old Turbo Burns. It's got about six centuries worth of dirt and crud but it is all there. I really want to restore this one. A good clean up, a new body and it will be good to go.

If I remember correctly, there was a 2wd burns, burns and a burns DX.

Do you have those cars are will be restoring them?...or are you in the process of obtaining them? I'd love to see all of them lined up.

Nice Turbo Burns....that will restore up nicely. Looks like it has the front disk brakes option as well.

highwayracer I remember those other cars. The 2WD Burns and the Burns DX are not all that high on my list of cars to get. I do want to get a 4WD Burns. I am actively looking for one that is not going to kill my wallet.

Yes it does have the front brake option. I am kind of torn between keeping it stock or cutting the radio tray and installing a 1/4 scale servo like they did at the world championship in the old days.

Well Guys I have been luck this week and I now have a MP6. The conditions is ok but I am sure that is was owned by a non racer. There has been quite a bit of mac gyvering on this car. I do not think that there is something that I cannot undo. I am not sure if it is an international or a regular MP6 with some of the option parts. Does anyone know the wheelbase for the international? Anyways here are some pics :D

There was an early race version that was only sold as a chassi kit in 1974.

This is the ordinary version.

And the race version.

It's mentioned on the Kyosho history page, in the text on page 2 and pictures on page 1 and 2.

Thanks for the info tomolupus. Within those pages I finally have my answer to what was Kyosho's first race buggy. It was the circuit buggy extra from 1984. That car looks like it will be a challenge to find. Hopefully one day it will be mine.

Nice cars. If I remember correctly the burns did not have a wing. Did you add that or was it an option?

It was like that when I got it.
the wing was an option part.

The wing on mine is not original and to large really, almost as wide as the car itself.
But I think it looks cool :)

That is way that you used to do it in the old days. My original Turbo Burns wing was the same size. I also ran an even bigger wing hand made by a local back in the day.
