Their slot car's of that era had the same packaging. I've got a couple in the display case here. I'm gussing the 1/24 chassis would have worked with a lot of the slot car bodies. Though the few Parma's I have in my collection are 1/32...markbt73 wrote:Those are cool! I love the clear "boxes." I've seen a Cheetah, but I've never even heard of the Bobcat. I guess with Parma's slot-car roots, a 1/24 scale RC car is just a natural idea. I'll bet with that tiny wheelbase and the battery up so high, it truly is "a real handful" to drive.

J, did you notice the body pins for the bobcat? It's the same as slot car as well. The front tires look to be narrow slot rears, and the rears and spur are off the shelf slot car as well. It was heavily inspired by their off the shelf parts, exactly as you suspected

Oh right! That is the same body clip that they used on the Womp Womp's and stuff. Tires/wheels are definitely slot car also. They still pretty much make the same ones today. You can actually still buy the same basic Womp Womp, it just comes in a newer box...gomachv wrote:J, did you notice the body pins for the bobcat? It's the same as slot car as well. The "lil gasser" in my avatar actually uses a slot car body and tires/wheels.

Oh really?....I never noticed your avatar was that small. You will have to link me to pics or put some up at some point!
I was mentioning above that I was thinking a person could easily replicate the bobcat these days using modern available parts. It may be fun to clone one as a runner
