Re: You are only allowed 4 rc cars! Decide which :D
Easy enough for me, because it'll be the only 4 cars I own; Zebra, CYANide, Barney and OptiMutt. All of 'em based on Optimas. This might be "famous last words" but I actually don't think I'll be adding to that tiny collection; finishing the latter 2 cars is my only goal. Of course, that'll probably change once they're done.
I guess the only thing keeping me from getting into RC10's is I don't have any RC10 parts, so I'd have to start from scratch. It's easy (I've discovered) to acquire new cars or even parts cars when you have a stash of spare parts to replace whatever's broken or missing, but not so easy to get into a car when you don't have anything to fix/replace stuff beforehand.

Re: You are only allowed 4 rc cars! Decide which :D
Is this 4 rc cars all together or just shelfers? Cus if I can't have my race cars, then I most likely would not have any vintage cars and hence no shelfers. So I guess my list would look like this:
RC10B4.2
RC10T4.2
RC10B44.2
SC10.2
RC10B4.2
RC10T4.2
RC10B44.2
SC10.2

No Cougar 2s Jason??J.M. wrote:Only 4 cars. This is a tough one but here goes...
#1 Kyosho Optima
#2 AYK Viper
#3 Yokomo 870c
#4 Tamiya Avante
.....all nib please
This is a very hard question, I think I pretty much now own all the cars that I have ever desired except for some 4wds - an early CAT (an XLS or Pro Cat), Optima Mid Custom Special & a carbon tubbed Predator would all be very nice.... but thinking about the cars that I already own apart from my beloved Losi XX the rest of the cars I kind of like equally - the thought of selling any one makes me feel uneasy However for the moment I guess this would be my top 4
Losi XX
Mardave Cobra (XX gearbox conversion)
Yokomo YZ-10WCS 93
Schumacher Pro Cat
The nearly cars which on any other day when asked would be in the top four;
Schumacher Top Cat
Schumacher Cougar 1
Schumacher Cougar 2
Associated RC10 Worlds
Associated RC10 6010 Gold Pan
Mardave Meteor
Losi JRX2 or....
Losi JRX Pro

Light gold Edinger- (no need to explain)
7001 RC10T/ST- This vehicle was almost as impactful on the RC scene in the early 90's as the RC10 was in the 1980's, it rapidly grew into an entity all on it's own...and what got me into RC-
Team Losi JRX-Pro SE- fundamental design that the RC industry is just getting away from...over 20 years later...might have been a little too ahead of it's time for the tire technology and track designs.
........................Fourth one will take some thought.................it will likely be a 4WD buggy

Re: You are only allowed 4 rc cars! Decide which :D
doin mine old and new
old : my rc10 team car with bb steering... world cars are cool but i love the black and white look of the team car plus that was one of the cars i spent alot of time with .
my rc10t oval race truck. my dad modded the chassis to offset battery. truck won alot of races
tamiya frog / blackfoot like the new tamiya frog (better drivetrain )converted into blackfoot, kinda what i had when i was a kid.
clod buster if i only had 4 rcs id have full alloy brushless clodbuster..
new
sc10. great rc you can run at track or bash and you could always convert it to something else
traxxas rally 4x4 or new lcg slash 4x4 (same rc different body)great rc you can run at track or bash
scx10 kinda a bruiser but no multi speed bs
and last since my local track is a carpet track now id pick some tournig car that will be discotinued in 6 months and you will not be able to parts but its real cool for 6 months.. just my view on the onroad scene

Re: You are only allowed 4 rc cars! Decide which :D
I guess I would also choose 4 that I already own.
1 would be my highly modded Factory Team flat chassis GT.
2 would be my NIB original GT.
3 would be my custom built T-Maxx.
4 would be my Factory Team Nitro TC3.
It would suck not having more though.

What is the significance of only choosing 4? Why not 1? Or 17? Or 9? Seems odd to me.

No kidding, and most people just end up adding 10 others to their "wish it was more than 4" lists.flipwils11 wrote:What is the significance of only choosing 4? Why not 1? Or 17? Or 9? Seems odd to me.

Re: You are only allowed 4 rc cars! Decide which :D
I'm with you guys on the number....If you say 4, I'll have all four of those....eventually. That said, my FOUR would be:
1. RC10 World's Car (Had it BITD...who knew they'd be collectible one day )
2. JRx2 (had the JRxT.)
3. Ultima Pro (got it!)
4. Kyosho Optima Mid (one day soon)
Other's I still want to own and or drive at least once -
Tamiya Fox
Cougar 2
YZ10/870C
LazerZX
Pro Cat
I know the Fox seems out of place, but people say they were pretty good for a plastic car. I'd love to wheel one around a track with good traction....just to see for myself.

Re: You are only allowed 4 rc cars! Decide which :D
List your top ten if you really cannot decide. It's only a game
The reason I chose four is because they would fit on one small (wife firendly) shelf. You can also fit four buggies in one of those tall skinny glass display cases very easily (one per shelf). Or fit four on a low peice of wooden furniture - two per shelf. Of course I could have said just list one pair. But lets face it, even if I said 10, someone would say why not 15?
