If you can let me know beforehand if the D3.5 is not legal for this event, then I can just pick up another Redline.
As this race is generally more "relaxed" than your typical nationally sanctioned event, I would think it's safe to say that just about any BL motor is acceptable as long as it's 17.5 wind (except for Classic and 4wd where your options are handout and 10.5, respectably).

Please don't let your limited racing experience deter you from entering. We have all skill levels to attend and I'm sure with a little practice on the track, you'll fit in just fine!

I dug up another racer from TN to attend. Matthew will be running in the 2WD buggy class with an Associated Team Car and Classic class with an Old School RC10!

I have never actually gone to any event to meet any customers, and I doubt it'll be possible, but IF all the stars line up I'd REALLY like to attend! :D (Also, I can't trust Erich to return my banners, so that's another reason... )

I am accepting donations in trade for parts to facilitate such: Watch for Emails.

there's a micro-tel close by, it's neat, the rooms are tiny but spotless. bunch of other inexpensive place around too.
westchester county airport (aka white plains) is the closest to the track.

Another airport option is Stewart Airport in Newburgh, NY. It's a bit further away, but is otherwise a straight shot down Rte. 84 East toward Bethel, CT (~ 45min-1hr drive). There are a couple of exits off of Rte. 84 which have additional hotel accomodations. Fishkill, NY (Exit 13) is one that comes to mind.

I usually fly into Bradley Intl airport with Southwest. Flying from TN round trip usually runs ~ $250. It is about 45 minutes from the track.

Another question here, either for Erich or Brandon...?

The Classic class...

The definition given for Classic is "non-pro" chassis. The original RC10 is allowed in this class, but for its time it was a pro chassis. So is there a clear way here to define the boundary between a non-pro and a pro chassis? A friend of mine has a gold pan chassis with the older 6 gear transmission. Would that qualify for the Classic class? Would aftermarket bits be allowed on it, or should it remain as stock as possible?

I recall a previous post that Erich had regarding the use of plastic, non-double-deck chassis for the non-pro Tamiya chassis in this class. I have two chassis in mind that complicate this definition. The first is the Tamiya Top Force. It has a double deck FRP chassis (and the Top Force Evo had a double deck carbon fiber chassis), but was otherwise just a TA01/TA02. Is the double deck chassis alone, and/or the use of carbon fiber, enough to disqualify it? The other is the Tamiya Vanquish. It had a plastic chassis, but was otherwise just a cheaper version of the Tamiya Egress, which was a "pro" or pro-like chassis. Would the suspension/gearbox/etc. be enough to disqualify the Vanquish from the Classic class?

Sorry to be such a lawyer about this, but I just want to get some clarity here, since this appears to me to be an understandably difficult class to draw clear boundaries for. Thanks!

Good info, thanks Gents! It is more affordable than I'd have though.

Say, here's an odd (?) question: You guys are probably smart and do not bring your women  but I really don't do anything without mine. She, however, would be entertained for about 42 minutes tops, & then want to find something else to do for a while.

Do you guys run into this, and what other diversions would Bethel have for the ladies? Or am I the only one with this question? Any thoughts appreciated! Chris REC
