That's some great stuff there. I've always had a "meh" attitude towards box-arts; if I build up a box-art, all that I've accomplished is duplicating the same car a thousand other guys have already done. Anybody can follow instructions in a manual. But creating something new, even if it's a unique or different paint-job, that's what inspires & intrigues me.

I have to agree, most of my vehicles are not box art. Sometimes the box art looks on that particular vehicle and that's what I'll shoot for. As for a wild willy, its a jeep that ripe for customizing. Before I created my Wild Wendy 2, I had planned to use her in a WW1 chassis. It wasnt until Fabrizio painted a fantastic willy for me that I changed direction and went all box art on my WW1

Except for I believe the chrome special one
This is grey almost white body

Body? WW from tamiya

The plastic is molded in green. Either yours is primed well enough to mask it or the plastic has seriously hazed over

well i went and took a screw out of the bottom of the body to see if there was green in there and nope!
it was the greyish white and there is no discoloration or fading marks its nice and smooth all the way around
never seen one like this . I googled It and found nothing like it
also the car was garage kept
so i dont know what it could be
maybe a real early release?

Is it possible that this was a chrome body that was stripped well? Were the chrome bodies molded in white?

Scroll down...after a soak in Purple Power to remove some red paint, the originally green is mostly stripped off too, and the chassis turned grey. Further down are pics of the body primed in grey.

I've never heard of one molded in any color other than green. Maybe the the plastic is not UV stable and has turned this way over time.

In that case, be careful when running it. The body may shatter on impact.
