And yes I also do restore Auto's on the side, That's were I became the way I am. I did a 1965 mustang coupe, It was a full resto, I now all about the wax inspection markings, those are the little things ( to me anyway) that make all the difference in the world.

I'll have to look into some of the old 12E/i long screws I have and see if they have dots, might be a variation in some cars....you'd go nuts after seeing all that we've found
so far
Follow the Link in the rules for BST info-

yeah, i'm glad you didn't take offense to my remarks, you have to see the full range of restorations and rebuilds to get an appreciation of the level of detail

I've got a 10T #7011, and a gt, both nib, they both have them. I think that they are 1993 trucks. Built cars, that I have them with are my CE's, and one 7001. But form graphite down, they are not to be found

But like I said my 6 gear CE has a mix of them. Marlo

Now to stay on topic about being picky, as some of you may know,or not know, (or even care )

. The screw variations do not end there. All screws, with the exceptions of the cap heads all have their variations. Early 10's had 4 large dots stamped in the head, mid 10's hade the same but the 4 dots were smaller, then they were stamped with the word yes, ( I think ) then smooth finish. But cap heads still did go through some variations of there own. Early on they were smooth, then with a light ribbed design then a heavy ribbed finish. But I may be wrong

it all has to do with the specific vendor. each has their own marking and stamping dies/rollers.

I've got 10 of them on my 10T that I wouldn't mind letting go, they're by no means "new" though. It doesn't matter to me if they have the little dot or not, I'd actually rather have hex heads

I don't know if it'd be against the rules dealing even though I'm not part of the BST yet... either way, I'd like to get some replacement screws before I dismantle the truck...
