Hmm.. maybe I'll back off. There is only so far I can go on a shell when i have one in painted 98% new condition  Going that extra 2% is a luxury really.

so the works ended at 71USD, and the scoob dog at 152USD.
I guess I should have sold mine on the ebay too
Maybe I'll try that for the Andy's apache warrior

Funny about that I bought a BNIP works 93 body from DMS Racing about 1-2 years ago for £30 so I would guess that wasn't as good a sale as we would expect. Unofrtunately I didnt see that there was a slight tear in the shell and the body was extremely thin.

At least the Parma one from Kamtec is alot thicker. I thought someone said that Keith was working on a works shell?

From late 1980s to early 1990s, Yokomo had been selling two types of body shells. One is standard, and the another is thin for lightness. Masami was using thin shell for races. So, thin shell was world champion edition.

yep, at least one of the shells I sold had the 'light' notion on the label.
If I remeber well Mr. Lexan is owning it now.

I had a light one - part number was suffixed by L. It was very very thin!

I have two of the 870 bodies, both of which are very very thin.

Actually, three (one painted) also thin.

I guess the 'heavy' ones came with the kit and the light were the (later) option/spare parts.

Probably real hard to find a heavy one NIP unless you find a NIB kit.

The one that came with my Works 93 appears to be a light one, even though I don't have a thick one to compare. Tak, is the one you sold me a thick or thin one ?

Hey asso,
the Works 93 is a whole different body. I don't know if there were 2 versions of that one.

We were talking about the one with the F1 style scoop on its roof (At least, I was :?: )

Yes, there are two versions (designs) of the W'93 shell. I had both at one stage. The scoop for the speedo is different. I think the later shell arrived with the New YZ10 or W'95 as we called it (shocks behind the front tower).

Also the later undertrays had markings for W93 and new YZ10, although they fit both.
