Got a nice shiny lookin' truck Timbo. Lets see how it works out for you when you get it. Report back with what you like and dislike and any others that don't have one in their hands just cut the crap. For $179 its worth a risk to see whats good and whats bad about it. Good luck Tim and look forward to seeing some updates.

I posted once I had received it, a hobby shop here shut down and cleared 4 or 5 of them, I have offered it against the Twin force genuine of mine, and it seems to be a perfect copy, no give in the axle plastics, radio is fine, if anything a better rx box, arms seem to flex the same. Need better weather to run the engine in before any serious bashing though.

Well, my Chinese FG copy, a Shen Qi monster truck seemed durable enough!
And that was pre later quality controls etc

I´ve had a Shen Qi monster truck as well, and I really gave it a hard time.

The only really weak point was it´s body shell - it was the Hummer type and waporized by the first heavy crash. The engine was surprisingly powerfull. I replaced the std. lunchbox exhaust with a used 3-chamber exhaust wich gave it more than enough power.

The King Motor Baja on the other hand, I find a bit under powered even with a 3-chamber pipe.

The std. HPI BAJA 5B with the 26 cm3 Fulie engine is underpowered as well. It´s quite expensive in Denmark app. 1200 usd + 300 usd for an adequate engine + another 300 usd for needed hop ups, such as adjustable differential and working brakes etc.
It´s the COOLEST looking largescale Buggy in my book, but it needed an engine swap, to really get me hooked and leave the FG Leopard race buggy on the shelf. It´s still underpowered with a 26 cm3 Zenoah with tuned pipe, but does okay for bashing on the beach. For race purpose, I would choose a Hörmann or ELCON Cleon
