I got a few NIB re-re Boomerangs as well as a vintage runner. I really love that 4wd series especially Supershots.

I got the "circlips" (E clips) today to replace whatever was on there. Will consider building the trans cases to see if this solves the binding problem. I doubt I will complete this project. I did see a guy on youtube (Sweden I think; maybe UK don't remember exactly) and he was SOO scared of breaking something he really didn't even want to drive the Boomerang around. I titled this thing correctly...."Disaster" it still seems to fit. I love the idea of the heating the screws before screwing them in.

I rebuilt the gear boxes and found that I am missing a c-ring. Some of the gears have "Hot Shot" on them. I noticed the same on the wheels when I removed the tires. Every single screw received on the gear boxes were cracked.
I was confused because I looked a the re re manual and see that Tamiya used e-clips, whereas the original used c-rings.
Does anyone know the thickness of the thrust washers?
Still a dead project though.
