I've rebuilt my old vintage racer (again) adding more goodies and revisions.

How well does it run?

Luke I can tell you that I found the Procat easy to drive. That's not to say that my driving was good but I found under a lot of power the Procat was a pleasure to get around the dirt tracks I was driving on back then.
You'll also have to take into account my limmited set up knowledge too

Still my fav 4WD vintage racer (better than my 870c, Mid Custom/ Lazer ZXR and AYK Boost).

Here's the factory paperwork and pre set up chassis kit.

What can I say, I have a 'thing' for the old Schueys

I've owned many, sold and traded many and finaly wanted to hold on to atleast one of each. I'm now done buying, building or selling my Cats. These are my keepers-

I´m glad they put "4wd" before Procat in their manual - some people might have tried to install it on a ... eh.. 2wd Procat ?

Thankyou for the comments of encouragement. Whilst I own a lot of different cars from different manufacturers this Schuey collection will be my most prized.
Back in my race days at the old Bormac track I used to love marshaling as much as I did driving. Not because I liked turning cars back over but because it allowed me to get up close to all the cars back then. I'm sure as a young teen the drivers would get the craps at me cause I'd always try to eye ball their cars a little too much whilst getting them back on their wheels. My point here is that there were plenty of Cats back then and seeing them tear around the track in the hands of many good drivers certainly left an impression on me.

For me the XLS and Procat were a serious force to contend with (and still are).

Jason, this thread (combined with the lot of parts you are sending) has been inspirational for me! I got a Procat in trade from a member about three years ago, started taking it apart and immediately got distracted. Now I think I will have to begin the project! I'll probably be hitting you up for advice and heavily referencing your excellent pictures of your excellent buggies. Great looking cars, all!

Check out those purple dampers. What are they from? Looks like you have a Bosscat slipper there too. Great for a runner

Thanks Jason. Looks to be a big project! I have no idea where the shocks are from. Maybe some other member will chime in and tell us.
