lol, cl is pretty popular here as well. if you want to really check out whats for sale on craigslist check out crazedlist.org...

after some thought, i think i'll just get a real nice benchtop drill press and a milling table. a drill press is just something that every dude should have, and for the kind of 'milling' work i want to do a lil' milling table and a drill press would work fine. i honestly dont think i'll ever have a project that requires me milling a big chunk of aluminum, all i really want is to be able to 'dremel' perfectly straight for a change...

i still think that vandalay mill is sweet though. but i can definitely see you guys' point of view with getting something a little more sturdy and more rounded.

Tadracket wrote:The local Harbor Freight (I know, cheap stuff) has this machine and it is not but a few dollars more than that dremel rig + the price of the dremel. I have been over freights milling machines and I know they are not top of the line, but they are not bad looking machine. Especially for the money.

FYI HF sells a 3 pack of fiber cutting discs for Dremels. The discs are larger than most and last a good long while. I used one disc to cut the sides off a tub chassis. I could cut another chassis with the same disc. Made in USA.
