I'm pretty sure they already released that body. It looks like it is on the GT-01 tamtech chassis running a set of older M chassis aluminum wheels

That's not yours, is it Doug? (the pic of the Hilux). Take a looksee on ebay, you might find the 280 body. Here is mine, I paid a pretty penny, but I thought it was worth it. I remember seeing that car on the matured verisons with Sharp, Newman, and the Leitzingers run at Daytona and Sebring when I was kid. Heck, one year, my brother even won a raffle in the Datsun tent and got himself a real nice Datsun jacket (Member's Only style)..... talk about going way back, Member's Only. Gotta love the glory days of IMSA/Camel GT.

Nope, it's not mine. I just liked the photos of the old dog.

I miss IMSA, too. Those Audi Quattros running around Road America belching flames were one of the high points of my racing spectator life.





Judging by the hobby show displays, it looks like that 280ZX is back on the market. I haven't had any luck finding that on eBay, though.

Ever see the BMW M Team GTPs (Hobbs/Watson/Jones/etc) run? Take about some flames...... 3 ft plus, the Mazda RX7-92s? Kill your ears, nothing was louder, or the Jag XJR-12s from Tulius/Group44, BEAUTIFUL sound. Man everything those days was just simply awesome!!!!! Miss it,

I had a 79 280ZX a few years back. I loved that car
Traded it one day for a 250 quadracer
I truly do miss that car.

The 280ZX (along with the Nissan Primera the other side of it) were released at Tamiyas Summer Fair, like the Mountaineer body, and was only available to buy at the fairs. Here's one of them http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250158297279
The new High Lift is the first time Tamiya have released the body as part of a kit afterwards, so it is unlikely we'll se the Datsun based on past experience. If it does appear it will be on a Tamtech gear chassis.

If you can't be bothered waiting there's always the ABC Hobby 1/10th scale version

Whoa! Bitchin' call back Dougy. Prob no reissue on that one but if your ever out my way I can take you to Bob's house and if you ask real nice maybe he'll let you sit in the real one and make engine noises... just no slobbering all over the hood!
