Didn't he kind of have an attitude? I can't really remember. I do remember one of the R/C chop shops bought one of his (purple?) RC10's and parted it out which caused a big discussion.

fades are also an option offered by colorsinc.com. they also with two color anodize patterns/names/ect n your piece and they also have a splatter color effect that can do. i almost had them do a green base with purple splash on the parts i had done but didn't want to spend the extra bit of money it was going to cost.

i just sent all my parts in unpreped. though some parts were brand new others were not. only one piece didn't look brand new once they finished and that was an old associated allen driver handle that was severely corroded and pitted. but even in the condition it was sent in as i feel it came out better than i had expected.

Everything in this thread is dead on, especially Coelacanth's advice on prep. I'm too lazy for that so I just send stuff as is and let the shop do the stripping and anodizing work. The end result on some rough parts (like these shock bodies which I sanded a bit but didn't work especially hard on to be perfect) and these spring perches, shock collars, and Associated FT originally blue servo mounts is shown here. The servo mounts retained the most shine.

I use Midwestern Anodizing in Milwaukee, working with Scott. Price was $30 for this lot including shipping, which is fine for me, but as you can see you get what you pay for. I'm sure Scott would do a better job if I tried working more to prep them and had specific requests for him.
