Brushless for me. The fact that there is no more com cutting, brush games, no more wear items and gobs more torque than a brushed setup. The less maintenance the better.

I chose brushless as well. I have run all kinds of combinations and I would easily choose brushless with a good nimh. Now that I have converted to all lipo I wouldn't want to go back to either old ways, but I would rather mess with batteries than motors. The power and run time are great.

That was my first thought, too.

Lipo. No doubt. No more high dollar, heavy, poorly constructed time bombs. The last 4 packs I bought that were NImh were intellect 4600's. What absolute junk! I purchased them from a local (and reputable) balancer and they were properly discharged after every use. Charged at a reasonable charge rate. They were ready to be tossed after 1/2 a winter season. At $55 a pack, that is a cost I don't miss. Also the lipos lower weight make the brushed motors "seem" to run better.

Has it been 7 days already?? Polls close soon. Any final thoughts? The Gil Losi Jr. fire certainly sheds a different light on the debate. Doesn't change my opinion, but it does make you doublecheck your regular precautions.

And yes, I realize this is not exactly exciting, but it gives you something to do in between looking at porn! :P
