The coating trick looks great! What did it cost, how long did it take?

$20 for the kit, $13 to ground ship (can't air ship it for some reason). All it takes is 4 min in the oxide gel and 10 min to seal. Universals turned out really nice! :D

OK, that's too cool! I just ordered my kit. Luckily I'm too cheap to throw away rusted parts.

Yes... They sell Chroming kits too, only they are a little more involved and more money. They actually sell all kinds of really cool coating products. At home anodizing for aluminum! :D

OK... Started the rebuild tonight. Just have some final touches, but here's what it looks like! :D Still need a Protech II Body and the correct TQ Rear Wheels/Tires. Motor is in the mail and I have some Novak electronics going in shortly! :D Pretty EASY, QUICK and CHEAP BUILD! $70 for the car & $30 for the Black Oxide kit!

Thanks for the compliments guys. I Novaked her out the other night! (NESC-4, NER-2S, NES-1A) I just need to get some more red 16GA Novak wire to finish the fresh new wiring on my ESC. I'll post pics as soon as the new wire gets installed. Still in search of some rear TQ21 tires/wheels & Protech II Body! :?

Think I'm going to get a body done up like Masami's Detroit Worlds car just to set her up next to my Halsey build on the shelf.... 8)
