Why didn't clint just drive over a curb and/or into some short grass?

Sounds more exciting then electric whine... similar to how movie cars have unlimited gears to shift into ;)

That's embarrassing

But those were the times I guess. I've got pictures of me as a kid in the late 80's with a rat tail haircut :?

LOL not really. a while back i was going to do a little film in the same area that this one was filmed at. i was going to get the same hair do and same monte carlo to do a spoof of the "dead pool" chase. it was pretty hilarious at the time. it was basically the real world meets the rc world. real radio interference and range problems, driving the rc car radio with BOTH hands while still driving the real car, actual cars that were too low for the rc car to drive under, people not getting out of the way, crap and actual dog crap on the sidewalks, traffic jams, huge pot holes and train tracks, mile high curbs, batteries dumping early, etc... the rc car was junk and dead by the time it cornered dirty harry in the alley. wobbling and missing wheels and body in pieces.

the ending was that dirty harry would have the last laugh. he sees that the rc car can't go on so he proceeds forward and tries to drive over the rc car, only to have it get stuck under his car and push the poor thing up the street like a piece of trash. rook has a cry in his car. i still wished i could of done it...

That would have been pretty funny if pulled off well. I like spoofs but I like them to be well done. The dog crap would probably had me laughing the most. A close up scene of a dog dumping then immediately the car comes around the corner and plows through it flinging it everywhere

if you've been in san francisco you see all kinds of dog crap on a lot of sidewalks. a buddy of mine started that idea. he said "what if the car went through some fresh hot dog crap and picked up stuff as it continued on the chase?" you would have a banana peel stuck on there, cigar, bird feathers, newspaper and other stuff." it was just too funny at the time. it would of been a good funny spoof.

lol yeah seems like it. i like those movies too. don't forget loaded weapon! if the project would of went on we were talking about trying to keep it somewhat serious. which would of made it a bit funnier.
