If by conventional you're referring to something that comes complete in a kit, then Yokomo is conventional. If you further expect parts support on the off chance you break something (which never happens in off-road racing), then take a pass. I understand the desire to own the exotic, especially if you can drive the difference (as I could once upon a time in 4wd). However, currently, as a comparison, I own an xfactory x5 and a yoke mr4-bx. The xfactory I can still get parts for, the yoke I cannot.

However tempting, unless you're looking for a shelf queen, stick to Losi, AE, Kyosho, or possibly x factory (since you can actually order everything you need for the x-6 even if your LHS does not carry it).

regrettably, I carry at least 3 of every part during racing on me because tracks here in the states carry nothing anyway. I just need a current 2wd buggy, as I have a killer B44.1 but the 2wd entry is always a 1991 RC10CE

Reggie, pick up a B4.1 Worlds and Losi big bores and be done with it Spares galore everywhere/online plus setup help from a few quick guys to boot

The good news is the kit doesn't cost that much, so you can easily pick another one just for spares.

The one thing I don't like with Yokomo is that, like xray or Kyosho for instance, it's one evolution of the car per year... you know you don't really need the new one, but you still have this little voice in your head that tells you to buy it nonetheless...

I like it and would buy one if I were going to buy another new 2wd car. Yeah, it looks initially like every other 2wd RC, but I like the subtlies that make it a yokomo such as the design of the arms.

I'm probably never going to buy a new modern day buggy because I don't compete, so I guess I don't have to worry about it.

I would love to have one though...of course

Miles has a b4.1 that is getting the +8 and Losi spring treatment, but I want something different.. I have a good line on the 'Rango- but with the co being sold recently who knows what's going to become of them-
