I lived in Montclair and Crestline at that time (only been in SD for about 2 years). All of my racing was done at SoCal (Garden Grove), The Pit Shop, Revelation, MnM, Outlaw, and K&M. 95% of it was at The Pit Shop and Revelation after the Ranch closed.

What a twist of fate! I found a Panda today as well. What I've been calling a Pandamonium looks to actually be referred to as The Panda on the box. Hmm, if I grab a Jr T, I'll have my first 3 cars lol. Cant remember if I got the TA-02 Tamiya before the Jr T or not.

I was able to find some NIP orange front logo wheels but still no reds. If anyone has some reds they want to trade for some oranges, keep me in mind.

It seems that through R/C racing, many of us learn't the value of money... & that by saving up our pocket/paper round money we could get just what we wanted... so aside from the mechanical knowledge we gained by tinkering with our rides - important lessons of life were also learn't. I often think kids these days have it all to easy.... they seem to get whatever they want whenever they want

Yes exactly that Dan. I think RC cars teach you so much, it's a great sport, not to mention all the friends I have made from the hobby.

It is very costly now and alot more commercial, but so much more choice and batteries last forever, whereas BITD 1200mAh would barely last 5 mins!

I remember that we had 4 min Mains and they would just make it

I always ran stock back then and had no problems with the 4 min quals and mains. I tried to run mod with a 1400 when they came out and dumped at about 3:30 after doing really well lol. Ahh the bad old days.

Yeah. I had my car geared for 4 minutes and 10 seconds, then I got my hands on a Black Magic Stock motor. I could run 6 minutes and still be faster down the straights than Trinity Monster Horsepowers.

I wish I could find one of those black magic motors.

First race I ever got a trophy was when I figured out how to make the battery not dump before 4 minutes. Of course I was not smart enough to start in stock and won that trophy with a 4wd mod Yz-10, B-main it may have been with half the field crashed out but I'll take it

Scored some very nice looking red rear wheels and tires off ebay today Glue looks like it got nasty over the years but if the rubber is in good shape, I'm going to soak them in acetone and clean up the glue job. Actually, I'll probably leave them unglued. Almost missed the auction all together; placed a bid with 25 seconds to go and it made me log in again. Got the bid in with 1 second remaining! Damned Modern Warfare 3...

probably don't need a full acetone soak, just run a q-tip laced with acetone around the rim, and you should be able to crack the glue off with your fingernails.

We shall see. Hopefully you're right.

The acetone soak worked great. I left them in a few mm of acetone in a small closed bucket for roughly 24 hours. I never flipped them over and just left the vapors work on the outside of the wheel in an attempt to avoid damage to the black lettering. The idea worked great and the wheels cleaned up extremely nice. Well worth the $11 they cost after shipping I believe these are the stock rear tires for the Pro but I'm not positive. I received them with an RC10 I got from a buddy last week but they look right and were in near new condition (look to be directional in regard to the type of pins on the inside and outside of the tire). Hopefully I find a set of front in similar condition before too long.

The stock ones on my original Jrx-Pro are the x pattern.

Looks like xpattern in your picture right?

They are indeed X-pattern (and correct tires for a stock JRX-pro) but they look to have been run on asphalt. The spikes should have a squared tip...

Yes, probably run on asphalt for a while.
