The attachment yokomo shell 01.JPG is no longer available

Not too sure fellas, but I'm going to have to source an original shape Works 91 shell, shouldn't be too hard to find.
Lto Dave, it does have a matching undertray with it, yes.
I have original new works'91 body, the rear side are different.

seasaw75 wrote:It's a bit of a Heinz 57. Looking at it I would say that:
91 chassis
91 upper chassis
91 front and rear shock towers
91 rear shocks, although not sure
91 rear suspension arms, I can't make out the hubs
870c front hubs and carriers
870c andy's long suspension arms
870c 2.0 wheels
Non standard steering bell cranks and gear adapter
870c front belt tensioner with a homemade mount
Schumacher xls/procat front shocks
Form the colour I would guess at 870c magnesium front/rear bulkheads
Yes it does have a rear bulkhead cap on the front.
It looks like it started of as a 870c but was upgraded as new parts came out.
Blimey, you also know your Yokomo's, Seasaw!
Now, do I buy an 870c shell, or Works shell??? I'd prefer making it as original as possible, without spending a fortune

I would use a works, personally-and I don't know if the 870 shell would fit with that 91' chassis

In that case, I'll probably will get an 870c shell, as it probably had that originally.
Cheers Seasaw

looks like a fun project. during your resto I would put that white bulkhead cap on the rear and get a matching front white bulkhead cap.
are you going to run brushless and lipo?

I'll look for a front bulkhead to match, thanks!
Not planned the electronics yet, that's a long way off! Will probably stick a brushed motor in at first, see how it goes

Hi Dan
Yes indeed it is, for reasons described in advert. Bit of a cop-out I know, but compared to some of the guys here, I really don't know enough about these cars. Still love the Yokomo's though

Maybe you can get one, one day that is a bit more complete/original... these cars are fairly complex & its difficult to find the correct part if you are missing bits
