Well, if the owner of the wreck is a member here, I apologise, no offense meant at all

Are those white plastic (Traxxas?) shocks exact RC10 clones?

yeah, traxxas and yes, very close. All of the pre-big bore traxxas shocks are very close in size to Associated shocks, though they are metric. most obvious difference is that the caps are slightly taller than the associated ones. spring cups can cross between both manufacturers, but traxxas spring is larger diameter, like a losi spring.

Asso_man! wrote:Thanks for the comments guys. I painted a body last weekend with three rattle cans and some tape. This must be like the fifth body I painted myself, so I'm not totally dissatified with it. There some flaws of course, but nothing really noticeable. I added the number 8 as he just turned eight. I still have to apply a few decals, will probably put his first name with Autographics letters. The whole bundle will be offered to him next Saturday.

Pics don't do real justice (the tail looks black but it is actually a deep blue). I hope you guys like too :)

Very tidy build.... bet your nephew is going to have alot of fun with it!

Loving the shell too - simple(ish) but effective!

So he got it today and tried it out a bit in the street, he was quite happy of course although he looks a little shy on the pic. Of course my son was out too at that moment and bumped into the radio antenna, bam broken! Fortunately I had another one laying around to replace it. Number 8 was chosen for his 8th birthday and I wrote his name with some old school Autographics letters on the right side of the bodyshell. I also took a last few shots for future reference. Next time I'll shoot a small movie to show hiow he's progressed :D He needs some tools too, any tips for some rather cheap hardware like nut and allen screwdrivers I could provide him?
