Oh, and one more pic.......

This will attest to the durability of the RPM parts..... I was going down the hill after the straightaway and cut a bit too far inside. I did a rail grind on the 2" PVC pipe they had laid down as the track marker. One of the nails they used to hold it down was sticking up about 1/2" and stopped me dead in my tracks. I could tell something was wrong but couldn't get a good idea of the extent till I pulled it off the track. It had bent the inner hinge pin and broke the front a-arm at the pivot hole. Luckily I had my good buddy Brian to get me a replacement arm, and I broke out an RCPS titanium hingepin. The bulkhead had a slight deformation in the very front of the hingepin hole, but other than that it was not damaged in any way! Don't try that with magnesium! I have never seen one bent this badly before.

Nice looking ride. Sounds like the trouble you had was very common with yok's from that era. Biggest problem (if you still want to sort it out) was the lack of rear toe. I bet if you check your car you will have very little toe in the rear. That combined with the rear rims being narrower than they should be for that type of rubber will definatelly make it a handfull  . Also, which rear springs are those? -Jeff

You are probably right there. It does have toe in, but not more than 2 degrees if I had to guess. The problem would be finding the right rear hubs with a little more toe built in, metric bearing size and then sort out whether it fits properly on the car. :? Maybe Kyosho makes such an animal.

The RPM front hubs and c blocks flex a lot. Maybe they weren't helping with my issues.

The rear springs are AE blacks.

it sounds like your starting not to like RPM parts to much.

Well the flexible front parts will make the car feel a little sluggish, but not much. BITD, the Yok factory guys had specially made rear bulkheads with toe added. I know Yokomo makes a rear hub for the MX4/MR4 in various degrees toe. I happen to have sets on my bench with 1* and 2*, as part of a NIP parts set ready for e-bay. They have a smaller hinge pin, but you could bush the a-arms, or ream them out to make them work. I dont have a part # btw, as they are out of package. However the offset looks right. -Jeff

They have their place. Parts such as bumpers and gearcovers are great, but the suspension arms I feel aren't the best on high traction tracks. The YZ10 front bulkhead was a good piece!
