Why are the plastic hubs considered a downgrade? The plastic versions have a considerably better fit than the cast alloy ones.

thanks for that helpful info, but I think zxr MKII still come with the zxr slipper, hyperclutch only equiped at three cars:zxrr、zx-s & zx-s evolution。[/quote]

MKII came with the hyperclutch basicly its an rip off from the associated one just the slipper pad is on the other side compared to the associated one when you compare the two you know what i mean. The slipper pad has the same diameter as the associated one and it fitts i use them since they are way cheaper.

MKII and the ZXR-R has an slipper plate on theire hyperclutch that uses the standard kyosho spur LA-2 88 tooth modul 0.6 or TM-17 48p 100 tooth in case any want to know.

ZXS and ZXS-evo uses an special slipper plate LA-118 actually it has different numbers also but they are regarding material quality they have standard associated fitting regarding the distance between the screws that hold the spur on and an sleeve over the bearing to center the spur.

Iso, the mk2 last few did have hypers then the rr was released.

MK2 came originally with the pads but strangley the later ones had hyper clutches then the RR came out most possibly due to Jamie Booth winning the nats and Ellis winning the Euros.

Try breaking the alloy one and you will see why its a downgrade, also the benefits are the threadlock does its job and keeps the king pins in whereas the plastic ones had a tendancy to vibrate the king pins out and due to that damage the thread in the plastic meaning a replacement. Also the alloy zx ones you do not need to cut the lobes off to stop the bumpsteer. The only downside is having to file the arm or wishbone a bit to account for more steering that the plastic one gives. Also If you screw the king pins in correctly and make sure that they are equal on both sides its a perfect fit, mind you I do prefer the team line hubs and they are much more a perfect fit.

possible, but I checked all the label like zx-5 zx-7 their pack never been opened.but as say I still can change the original mint parts back it turn to the first kit. :D
Was the box opened or did it have the seal on it, as the only explanation is that if the seal was broken then some items were removed or that this kit originally had items missing so they either replaced the missing items with the later parts etc etc. did it come direct from a shop or a thrid party collector? Still as it came with all that in the kit (if from a supplier) its a rarity so makes it that little bit more special. Twenty two years on and I am still racing mine.

Is youre kit an ZXR or an ZXR MKII since the first has the clamp the spur slipper and the later has the hyperclutch.

Thanks, The upper deck is a fiberlyte I do have the original 2 piece.
I found this on another site, apparently this car was a proto type that went into production.

The LEGEND car of Rick Hohwart from Peak Performance at the WC 89 in Australia.

The LEGEND is the prototype car for this race, products and built by Kyosho for his team around the World.
The production name is LAZER ZX...

Hi I actually bought it like this, this came up on Ebay about a year ago and the guy selling it said it was some kind of special I didn't pay much attention I just thought it was a neat looking Lazer having never seen one done in CF and those shock towers.

I don't know if it was ever use the front bumper was like new I put it on my ZXR. :D

I had those shock towers, only downside was if you crashed they would snap but never the less were very useful.
