Are the rims on the swb mid Pargus'? They look absofreakinglutely KILLER!!!

You should be starting now :)

I still have some junks need to be restored, some don’t have small parts that hard to find. But most of them don’t have body shell and appropriate wheels and tires,

This year my intention is to restore them before buying additional toys.
(I’m crossing my fingers not to be tempted to buy a new one  )

Yes they do look great! I'm going to have to obtain a set of those for my next Mid project. I put the other Pargu rims on my first one 8) :
Nice Optima mid.

Trimming Optima's body shell gives me hard time. Are you using scissors or Modeler’s Knife?

Yesterday my wife called me and said my package arrived from UK,

Here it is 1 set of aluminum tires for this project :P

What a mess, Tamiya tire inside diameter is (+/-) 2mm bigger than the wheel.

Why I should always need to pay for my wrong assumption to be able to learn.

Same challenge for me too... I fail miserably on a permanent basis. I've given up... however the rule that I stick to is to not work on more than two cars (read not have more than 2 cars in bits on the workbench) at once, which means one of the racers (8th scale offroad, 10th 2wd, EP DTM, whichever is in need of TLC at a certain time) and a vintage resto... Just finished a Worlds Car (pics soon!), just finished rebuilding my mbx6 for the last weeks of the season, just received my b44.1 kit, that leaves me with one vintage project to be kicked off

The UK wheels - who are they from if I may ask???

thanks
Paul

Nope its not from Pargu.

I've heard Pargu's wheel have different width rear and front (front norrower, thou I'm not sure :?: )

That is a set with the same width both rear and front, as fitted to the original Optima Turbo, Salute and original SWB Optima Mid.

They look the same width to me... I think you just got a set of Pargu's rims, half-priced ;)

Thanks, the answer is yes, and yes. I use a sharp X-acto for as much as I can. I also use scissors in some areas, depending on my confidence level at the time I am cutting. I use a dremel with a sanding drum to finish areas like the shock tower openings.
