I disagree. They're not going to be original chassis' and getting them made from a different material and slightly altering the design will ensure that they're not exact replica's, in turn protecting the value of the originals while still making a very cool chassis available to those poor buggers (like me!) that will never be able to afford one, let alone find one.

Well put Adam. I'd love a 4x2 chassis, why should this devalue the original items purely because people want them. Value can't just be measured in dollars or cents neither. Value can come about from a collector simply wanting this chassis to fullfil their passion for owning a replica of Masami's 89 car.. Good value right there.

im in two mind's to be honest reggie, i like rc car's because i grew up with them and now because they are collectable also. i love the search for rare model's and if everyone had a masami or wcs that example loses it's desire without a doubt. if a stack of people had a edinger/copy no one would bother to show there own example, am i wrong? in reality would you like 50 people to have a copy of your wcs, worlds graphite, yellow tub project etc etc. i enjoy showing other rc fans rare car's and seeing how excited buy it they are. full on buzz  we are all different hey

But, reproductions are just that IMO- just like lexan I personally would rather see 100 MrLexan RCPS Turbo Mirage shells on cars then only 5 originals left in existence. And like my WCS, the car started as a 94 YZ. I think if someone is maliciously hiding a reproduction as an original then that's something else though.

yeah true bro, it's very nice to see everyone with the car's they desire, but on the flip side some people just taint the original with a very average example (look at real car's) there are many exception's when looking at thing's from different angle's, i can never make my little mind up how i feel  from month to month. i really dig original's of any cool things in life, to me that's super appealing. a carbon example of this masami chassis make's little sense to me, only a very similar graphite :D

I agree, a graphite style repro version would be cool. I am also the opinion that repros - if they are communicated/labelled as such - do not interfere with "the original".

If i dont remember it all wrong there is an dukemo copy here somewhere that where made by fibrelyte basicly the same idea with the cells.

Lett had the 4+2 setup on his nats winning car with the 2 cells not inline though but easy to copy.
