Looks great! What rear arms are you using? Those seem not to be the normal TopCat/Cougar ones..

I tried upmteen different variations. Cougar, Works, Dynotech, Cougar 2000 and more.

Losi rear suspension is a perfect fit. Rear arms are JRX-Pro. Hub carriers are also JRX-Pro. B44 CVD's and Avid bearings.

Well, my money, my time and my inspiration have just about run out for this build. The good news is it is starting to look like a car.

Its not nearly as polished as I was hoping for and I never got the big bore shocks I was hoping to use but I am pretty happy overall.

Only needs 1 more thing: red wheel centers.

Have you had a chance to see how it handles? It would be interesting to hear how an inboard shocked, mid motor Topcat drives.

Bravo 8rad! Congrats for getting your entry finished before the deadline! Looks quite unique...are you excited to give it it's maiden test-drive?

I still need to do a million things before its ready for the track. I have not even thought about electronics.

The body is just resting on top so I need to mount that somehow. I also need to cover up that exposed gearing. Looks like crap with that big gaping hole in the side. Better battery posts and some better tires. The rear suspension also needs work. The CVD's are at a severe downward angle when the arms are level. So when the suspension compresses the CVD's bottom out limiting the upward travel.

At this point it is more of a functional mock-up rather than a racing buggy.

Looks cool though!

Good suggestion. I have one of those. I think this chassis is too wide but I will try that tonight.

One of the best builds I have seen here. Nicely done, I have been hemming over my next topcat build and this inspires me to try and be different.
