Well if it is edinger, its certainly a late edinger. I looked a bit closer last night, and yes, the ball cups do have the hex built into them.

the shock seals say edinger to me. but if your doing a custom build out of it, it doesn't really matter what it is.

Thats what I think too, (shock seals) but the shock cups are not edinger, although they are solid and not split.
Maybe it just has edinger shock seals on it..?

if you had small seals and split cups, it'd be tough to say what you had because one of the items would not be original to the car. being as though you have solid cups and small seals, you have an edinger. when new, it probably came with the same tires as the one i had.....

Thats what im thinking too, late Edinger. My shocks look exactly like the ones on your car in the pic. Gorgeous car by the way...
Anyway, my plans are not to change the chassis from original,The only thing "custom" will be the body, and probably tires, otherwise I will be restoring this one. Speaking of tires..I have a set of rear tires (pro-line "champion") look really cool, but I would like to find front tires to match, any ideas or direction on those?, I would LOVE a set of the "goodyears" that came on the car, but I have never seen any for sale anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. I would also like some aluminum jellybeans, are the ones in the pic aluminum or chromed plastic?

Apologies if the shock seals are the small diameter ones, as my eyes saw them to be bigger then the Edingers. I do have to get reading glasses now, as up close it's tough to read or view things.
Sounds then like you do have a late Edinger, and I'm glad to see you are going to keep it intact and only do a body.

LOL, hey man, I understand about the reading glasses, same here
Yes, I plan to only do a body on this one, this one might be my "keeper" RC10, I would love to find the aluminum wheels and original tires for it too.

Re: HELP !! is this Edinger? Cadillac? or plain-ol-RC10???
one question for you guys, do the late edingers have the front sway bar on them ?, I am going total correct restoration, although i am adding a period correct Novak esc to match the servo and reciever. I have aquired a nice pair of pro line "champion" rear tires, so all I lack is a pair of front tires, the wheel knock offs, and possibly a stock motor for this car and it will be complete!
I have been into the transmission, and if I recall, it has the e-clips holding the outdrive in place. I plan to check that a little closer this evening.
Again, thanks for all the incredible info on this site!
