alright, so i've been trying to figure out just what to do with this car........ now that the flourescent parts aren't being swapped in. well, i've decided to build it up to run at small indoor carpet track 10-15 min. from my house. so i think i'll change the thread title to "CM-10". i'll let you guy's guess at that one awhile.

i took the worlds rear tower off, as well as that modded b3 tower off the front, installed a set of dyed stock fiberglass towers and rebuilt the shocks. swapped the 1/4" cvd's out in favor of 3/16" so i could run the hpi "losi" hex super star adapters and the jconcepts 1/16 e-revo rear rims. not sure what i'm gonna do up front yet. i haven't used the b4 castor blocks/knuckles/axles on anything yet so i might go that route. maybe i'll just use the wide axles and b4 fronts, or leave it stock and run b2-b3 or wide b3 rims. we'll see.....

You going to turn laps that fast with the pink pan? Wow, my b3 racer doesn't turn that well or respond from a dig with that much power. It's the mojo I seem to be missing.

It also could be the driver I have to admit.

I'd like to see touring cars do the wall.

Hello all,
If everything goes well, I am going to become the new owner of the PB-10. I bought a Team Car with the intention of running it but it turned out to be in shelf condition. Scr8p is trading this car for it.
I'm planning to use it as a club racer, and most likely take it to the VONATS.
I agree with Lonestar, and I'll probably strip the shocks.
It's coming with a B4 topshaft and no slipper.
First and foremost right now will be choosing a body and getting my electronics on it.
I look forward to receiving it and I'll post updates when it arrives.

I got the car today!
I'm trying to decide if I should strip the shocks. On one hand, they're in nice shape. On the other, the pink and gold really clash.
I need to decide on a paint scheme. It definitely can't have too much pink in it, and I'm thinking no red. It needs to compliment the pink which, frankly, isn't easy.
Also, I may or may not be able to make my hardcase lipos fit without modifying the bulkhead. How much of a crime would it be do slightly cut up a black Worlds bulkhead?
Once again, thanks for the car Jason, though I think I may have given you the better side of the deal.
Right now it's pretty much that last picture plus turnbuckles. I'll post pictures once there's something to see.

No, I'd take too much flack if I used the Team car- almost as much as I'm getting from my high school r/c friends from buying this!
On a serious note, the build quality is outstanding. Your attention to detail is amazing, especially for a car you were building as a runner.

funny to see projects change owners back and forth

I was at our track yesterday and chatted with a buddy I hadn't seen for a while... when we started talking engines (8th scale track, mostly nitro) I ended up finding out he now runs an OS I had bought 3yrs ago and sold to someone else. The engine was tuned and engraved, so no doubt on that

I still think these bodies should be stripped to match chassis ano

Hello all,
I've been quite busy these last few days, but today I made more progress on the car than Scr8p ever did: I installed a servo!
PB-10 servo.jpg
I have a small problem. My battery doesn't fit. In order to make it fit, I will either need to slightly modify the bulkhead or buy a re-re bulkhead.
How much of a crime is it to modify a black Worlds bulkhead?
Thanks!

unless you plan on selling the bulkhead for some reason, it doesn't matter if you cut it.

Hello all,
I finished the car over a month ago- late April to early May?- and then it sat.
Between Boy Scouts, school, cycling, and real cars, I've been too busy to paint the body.
Earlier this week, I had time to paint the body.
After trying do decide whether I should strip the shocks, I decided to take the "interesting" pink/gold combo and run with it. :o
Yesterday, I caught a "break" and cut my foot on glass. I needed four stitches.
After walking several miles at an amusement park, I had time to charge up a battery and run the thing.

It drove really nicely. This is only the second Rc10 I've driven. It has the same overall character and feel my long-arm converted 6 gear did, but much more polished. It's predictable, fast, and fun. I'm planning to replace the worn out front tires and gear it down a little, but other than that it's pretty much dialed. I expect it'll do well at my local indoor track.
Other than the 3 degree arm mounts and 25 degree caster blocks, it's set up pretty much the same way Scr8p had it.
