Nothing wrong in my opinion if you are honest about your merchandise.

Is it a business or a hobby?

Looking for a quick score or are you a collector?

Flippers in the housing market are looking to buy low, patch it up and then sell high for a quick buck. It's not really known to be an honest day's work to most people.

I have a feeling that many people feel the same about hobbyist "flippers"—be it bikes, cars or R/C toys—it just seems to invoke a feeling of someone who is in it for the money, and not the history. Not that there is anything wrong with making some cash—many of us sell stuff to pay for other things in the hobby.

I think what will sour the tastes of may collectors and enthusiasts is someone who doesn't appear to be genuinely interested in the hobby for the hobby's sake, but only to score a quick buck. I've seen it in other hobbies, though. When someone does that sort of thing too much, they get blacklisted with deals and trades pretty quickly. Most guys don't want to see their items auctioned off to the highest bidder right after selling or trading them to another collector.

That's just me, I could be wrong.

BTW Asa, I really dig the fluorescent yellow '10. It needs an A&L belt drive tranny like a hooker needs a vaccination.

And I like the correct facing front end, too. ;)

Looks great.

SERIOUSLY I HAVE TO BE THE BIGGEST COLLECTOR ON HERE. I did just spend $850 on a TQ10 to COMPLETE my collection. That it is why this yellow car is to be sold. My yellow A&L transmission is in the Willys project. Thanks for the kind words.

As unsavory as it might sound, there are flippers in every genre of collecting. I have bought and sold many parts and cars in the past. The money I make allows me to afford the nice collection I have. I have no problem with people buying and selling.

My biggest complaint and I have said it before is when you sell something to a message board member for a good deal thinking your helping them out and then they go and sell it on eBay for a profit.

As for Ferretti, I don't know which PM you mean? I am sorry, I thought you stopped PM-ing me/lost interest. You were trying to buy something from me, so after not hearing back from you, I figured if you still wanted it, you would ask again, I didn't want to push. Maybe I am confused. Sorry man...
Please recheck you PMs you will see that a question was left with you, if you did not receive it then my apologies.
