RC10forever - the wheels you first listed could PROBABLY be adapted similarly. Get the hex, drill it for a bearing. Drill the outside of the wheel for the bearing also. Glue the hex into the back side of the wheel, install bearings... bolt on wheel and go run. In fact, the wheel you pictured (ultra 5) would probably not need B3 castor blocks and steering blocks to narrow the front up, since it is already a narrow offset wheel. (See how it has less "dishing" to it.)

I'm of the opinion that Miguel's trick could be used to put most any 12mm hex wheel on the front of an RC10.. or any other car with stationary front axles.

Good Luck.

Those look cool Joey. Looks like they'd add about as much width to a car as the RB5 setup, and probably be cheaper for us in the US. What size bearings? 3/16x3/8? The blitz front blocks/spindles/axles will work too - I think. And the blitz ones won't bump the width out so much. Blitz ones can even be had in white!!

the associated parts numbers for that setup are as follows:

steering block: 9880
axle: 9881
c clip: 9882
hex: 9883
uses 7922 c-hub, same as gt2, b4.1,t4.1

rough price is about 20 bucks without bearings. They are 3/16"x3/8" unflanged.

either one seems like a good option...if that is the route you wish to take.

Can someone confirm that these are the correct wheels adapters used for the fronts:

Can the steering blocks fit in any other caster blocks, like for the T3? I'm trying to use 12mm hex wheels on the front of a car but want to keep it from getting too wide. Traxxas Rustler front parts fit, but I have to grind both the arm and the caster block to get full travel.

Try these wheel hexes:

The Strike wheels have a 3/8" bearing recess on the outside and a 12mm hex recess on the inside. The rear hex and spacer will fit on a 3/16" axle, and the front hex will accept a 3/8" bearing as well.

Will this type of conversion work with origional parts or do I need to make changes? The car is stock early/mid '80s and I'm just looking to get it running again. Thanks
