Re: Jay and Gil
Thanks You both railey72 and Romulus-10 from posting these pics.
Gary's "chainsaw" has belt drive!
I really wondered what are those two 2WD cars on last race pic where. First I though there were heavily modified A&L Ultimas because of Option House shocks, but no they just can't be Kyosho cars. There seems to be Yokomo steering and servosaver parts in them but transmission was something that I have never seen before. Are they white hand made LRM boxes? Thank Ruffy for telling what they were!

Re: Jay and Gil
Found this on Wikipedia:
Team Losi's first vehicle, the JRx-2, was a 1/10 Scale 2wd Off-Road racing buggy. When it was released to the public in 1988, the JRx-2 featured many innovations that were unheard of at the time, from its unique 5-link rear suspension arms, carbon-graphite chassis, and all-natural rubber racing tires, the JRx-2 set the stage for technological advancement and innovation. The car, while winning some large races, never lived up to its billing. Some said that the car's innovative rear suspension system was too difficult to tune and resulted in delays for Team Losi to release the vehicle. These delays allowed Team Associated additional time to release its second version of the RC-10, which again gave two wheel drive electric dominance back to Team Associated.

Good times!
I still also have my blue AE table with the built in seats for 4, that looks like the Yellow ones the Losi boys used, just a little different.
Thank-you so much for posting these!

First time I've ever seen a 7 cell built in that configuration. Very cool pics!

Re: Jay and Gil
i wouldn't say it his trademark. more like the trademark of whoever assembled the batteries for the team drivers at that time. i have pics of a cliff lett rc10, and i think one of neisinger's rc10's with the same configuration.
