It was manufactured by Team Losi, and was not a production part-

are you allowed to reveal how you aquired this, or will the men in black come to get you?
I can't wait to see a NIP MIP car. I've been building up a stash of MIP parts to do the same.

All I can say is, I have a few close friends that do/did race for Losi BITD and that graced me with this chassis that I will do my best to make the best looking JRX-Pro I can after I finish-
And like most of my builds, 90% of the parts are from members-

I think the use of the words "factory prototype" would have made it a bit clearer.

Looks very nice Reg. What puzzles me a bit is that this one does have a servo saver hole where the very first ones available to the public had none. Could that mean this is a later prototype? Just wondering... So what MIP parts are you thinking of? Yellow tranny, hard-coated shocks, shock cartridges and CVD's? What other MIP parts were made for the JRX series?

I was trying to be subtle, but you are correct-

As I assume this based on some other parts in the pile date wise- it was produced in the JRX-Pro time line more than the JRX-T, I have only seen the early JRX-T with the non servo saver and servo saver chassis differences but I am no Losi expert-
And it will be shocks (not with the MIP cartridges, but an equally cool type ), the MIP
bones, and the MIP bell crank steering-
I also have a really cool electronics and motor package that should really set it off......one of my most looked forward to builds
Anyone know the timeline for the gold MIP shock shafts?

I only know of one other non-losi cartridge. I hope these are them, because if they aren't that means I have something else to try to find.
I've got some pics I'll put in its own thread, but MIP made a lot of stuff for the early losi cars.

If they are white and use the competition's internals then it's them

Update since my other pair of shock bodies
finally showed up, of course they are the wrong ones- but I guess it will work out-
Some of the aftermarket parts-
aa11 033.jpg
I had to build one of the correct ( but used ) front shocks- it was too cool for me to wait
aa11 032.jpg
The stock NIP parts-
aa11 034.jpg
I have to decide on tires as well, I was planning on the stockers in the front and the X patterns in the rear, but these "other" Losi rears are kinda cool too
aa11 031.jpg
I guess I'll start building-

Looking forward to seeing it come together.
Do you prefer the Delrin 0.25" balls to the stock Losi ones? I've been trying to figure out which way to go...
