Re: My RC10T project(s)
Hey Fellas,
After my RC10 buggy projects both 10T projects are in parts!
One to become a shelf queen, the other SC. Gonna end up fabbing a G10 chassis for it as one of the chassis is in really bad shape.
RC10T-SCB here I come!
Will post pics on progression here as time permits.

Re: My RC10T project(s)
Well, after procrastination and too much accumulated time that has passed, I thought it best to get my RC10T projects back together as truck and nothing more. ditching the SC buggy idea. If I want an SCB I'll just go get a new one I think.
picked up another chassis as one became the backbone for my RC10 runner project. got it back together and started placing electronics in it. for now the rooster will be a place holder for the eventual Novak 410 that should drop into it.
finding white OEM white ball cups I see as being an issue. at least now I can work on it as needed, and do a proper teardown as time permits in the future. Will drop the dogbone hardware into this shelf queen once they're cleaned up (since that what the original ad shows, no universals).
Sorry for the iphone photos. I'll get around to using a REAL camera eventuall

Re: My RC10T project(s)
update!
Got the ol school tires and rims finally! got the rims new from AE!! the tires I got used from ebay. they've been modified on the edges but the inside tread is perfect, and still flexible (not tire rotted thankfully).
I'm loving the look. Still gotta find an the right rear tires, some electronics, tie rods, body
.
you can see compared to the original wiped out tires the difference.

Re: My RC10T project(s)
See kids this is why soda, popcorn, kit kats, and watching re-runs of SST at night are bad for you.
back in 2008-2009'ish, before Short Course trucks hit the market, I tried to make a truck body to match renezeders' in the Lucas oil series from a monster truck Titan body to fit on my RC10T4. Well, I painted it with arcylic paint instead of lexan paint, so it became a wall decoration almost immediately.
Anywho admiring me RC10T in one piece, I took a look at the body posts, and how easy they are to change out. While waiting for some ebay parts to arrive I threw on some Parma body posts and mounted the body just to see how it would'a worked.
i kinda like the back, but kinda don't; it's a half-though-out idea. Yes, the front tires hit the body when turning.
Comments? Sorry in advance that you can not un-see it..

Re: My RC10T project(s)
That was a monster truck body from Parma that I modified to fit the RC10T wheelbase, so one of a kind
.
I was really into trying to make a more realistic looking Stadium Truck after the desert truck came out from Losi. Then the Traxxas Slash hit and that body got put to the side.
I've put it back in the box for now since it's not original.

Re: My RC10T project(s)
update!
Finally went back and got a replica body and decals for my Curtis Husting's Ad Replica.
Came out OK, but the blue is wrong and there were a few runs. guess it's time to paint another. This one can hit the race track for a future big event
