Educate me: "digital" servos?

I had the same problem with my Savox 4096 tg servo. It uses so much power that it browns out the receiver. My esc only put out 1.5 amps to the servo. I tried a stutter stopper type device but could still shut down the receiver by a few quick left/right full lock turns. I replaced the esc with one that puts out 3.0 amps to the servo - problem solved. Unfortunately, you have to give to get, so either replace the esc or go to a less power hungry servo. Coreless servos are also known to be power users.

Anyone here that can tell me about Savox servos, and specifically I am looking for a 1/12 servo.

No, but I can tell you that the Futaba 9650 can't be beat for $59- for a 1/10 and 1/12 application
