Can't see the problem if someone wants there RC collection showroom in one place (image shack, flickr, photo bucket, etc), this may not be the only forum they want to show their collection off too so could save them time with all of their pics in one place. All it takes is a click (right click open in new window so you don't want to track back).
But you can still have your "Album"....................
Just use an "img" link from your album when you want to post a pic in your 10talk thread.
Err, isn't this the one of the problems some people are trying to point out, the fact they DON'T like images hosted on external sites. Links to external albums whether they are a direct link (URL) or an embedded image via link (img) are not the same as attaching an image using the options in "post a new topic".

In fact, my point was that I do not see a problem with people linking to their albums, whether it be by "img" or "URL".

If only the majority of other people did the same--plus, those free hosting accounts are auto-closed with inactivity; someone forgets their password or just doesn't login for a few months, and the account gets closed. The result: Every forum they ever linked images to displays red X's.

Who among us has been annoyed at a forum topic that has all the images broken? I'm willing to bet most of us. ;)

If I'm only posting a pic or two (or three) I usually use the forum 'attach' feature. But agreed... it sucks when you browse through old posts, and they've all got that 'image has been moved/deleted' message.
