wow, that is an awesome deal and now you get them built for free...lol, far from it  I cant thank you enough Rod for this deal 8)

I got to spend some time with my wife now that I'm home, but will get to it asap. I too had to do the spread photo. So far I got the 3 chassis that don't have much on them all apart and soaked in googone. I have faced many stripped screws so far, I hope it gets better. I wonder if there is a screw set for them??

Here is a quick couple photos so far.

I am highly thinking about sending all of the magnesium parts to xxxmain to be blasted, they turned out sweet.

Perhaps RCScrewz has a set that would do most of the job, if not all. Here's a link to all their Yokomo screw sets. A Yoke expert might be able to tell you which would be the closest choice.

Maybe the Super Dog Fighter would have many of the same screws:

I may have to spring for the super dog fighter screws, but I think I will sieve through the best of the original screws to get the best complete buggy for Rod. That is unless he wants new screws. I think since he is being so giving I can throw in the screw kit if he wants.

he means motor mount.

your best bet is to check out ebay for the motor mount. they are on there fairly frequently. If you are here long enough to join the buy/sell/trade forum, someone here might have one to sell or trade.

I would just gently use a brass wire wheel on a Dremel sp?! Don't waste time and money on sand blasting!

For the screws? If they are cheap shipping, I'm in! I would say Super Dog Fighter, most screws should work!

OK, I will get 2 sets, one for each runner and then start using the best screws to assemble the rest of the pile.

This project is overwhelming, but I'm so excited to have this on my desk. I always wanted a YZ10 from back then, but could never afford it. Once I get organized it will become a more efficient process. I need to get a hardware organizer, right now I have a half a dozen Tupperware containers with black parts, white parts, hardware, bearings, etc with different washing processes for each container.

I need to get to the shocks too, I hope I can get them to work well, but these post seem a bit discouraging

O.k. that's 2 questions!
1) no
2) correct
So, first order is to clean til my hands bleed. I might also give the dremel a go with a wire wheel right away for some immediate gradification

2 screw sets ordered, 11 bucks for shipping, not that you have to worry about it. I will cover all the cost for the restos, unless I need to start ordering carbon fiber parts from Fiber-lyte :P

Thanks for the screws and the build dude! You don't need to order any carbon parts for mine! Original is good with me! So are screws for that matter but if you got them that's cool!

Don't get any blood on my car Eh! :P

BTW! Buy your dogs a chew toy!   http://www.rc10talk.com/download/file.php?id=51254&mode=view

lol, my yellow lab took a while to train, she's very suborn. That futon is in my hobby room for a reason.

She's a nut and doesn't chew anything anymore thank god. It was the only thing she chewed besides one pair of my wifes shoes.

my hands are black, with most of the parts separated to be cleaned and I even got a whole car left to take apart. I think there are enough parts for one complete car, a second complete car less battery straps. A third car will also be very complete, but will have original screws and for fun, aluminum parts. I even think there could be a forth car close to complete too, but will see once I get everything built.

Here is how the mess looks so far

Hey Rod, I noticed that you sorted out white slotted wing buttons when I was there. I found one in the pile :D

That's great Anthony! Pat on the back for you!

Is there a pair of the wing buttons in there? I need one more pair for my shelf queen!

Thanks Rod,

There are no other white ones, BUT there are some brass looking ones that were on the second buggy
