After glass beading aluminum parts, can the parts be anodized, or is more prep work needed?

Could be the glass bead media I use is too abrasive or the aluminum is too soft. It was an FXT tub which I still have somewhere. I could maybe sand it out smooth again but it would be more work than its worth plus sanding it the needed amount will just make the aluminum thinner anyway.
