Magnum??? did you mean Maxxum FF?
Interesting to see you metnion the prgogress though.
How did Kyosho place that? I'd guess it goes between the optima and rocky.
But clearly they had indeed too many models in a too narrow segment at that time.
I would categorize the progress/gallop as the predecessor to the optima series. The technology between the 2 are so different. The progress line says "this is what we think works" vs the optima line saying "from our experience, this IS what works".

The 2wd drive parallel is the scorpion and the ultima...both were considered the top of the line model (in 2wd) when they each first came out.

Super Bomber... It was a variation of the Raider. There was also a toy version called the Sky Bomber 14X. I have a Shadow and I think its pretty cool. They even had a variation of that called the Aero-Streak. The body wasn't as appealing though.

the shuttles were the earliest kyosho a really junky bathtub chassis with simple cheap parts. there were about 5 models based on this before the ultima chassis made its debut.

the mooneyes was a early 90s cartoon type of chassis similar to the wild willy they were tring to get on the market for the Lunchbox and mightnight pumkpin.
I thought the only Shuttle Kyosho ever produced was the 1/16th scale Garden Off-Roader one. I'm interested in seeing the others in the series.

I also thought the only Mooneyes licensed product from Kyosho was the 'Mooneyes Street Van?' Again, same as above.

I have seen a buggy version of the garden off-roader, and think there was a third one also... sometimes I really miss our old kyosho guru Terrysc

Its my next project after I finish my Kangaroo. I'll be sure to start a thread on it. If you go here you can see the interior from it: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?p=155545#p155545 The strange thing is they never came with an interior as far as I know. Yeah, its a crazy florescent greenish yellow. The actual buggy is a different shade. It looks surprisingly good though.

Yeah, I know they never came with interiors. I just found it odd that any company would make an interior for such a rare car. Its specifically meant for the Shadow, and probably rarer than the buggy itself. :P

funny how they looked like tamiya clones under the body, but sad the wheels never became popular.

-tamiyadan, After doing some research I found that by you saying 'shuttle' series you meant Garden Off-Roader series.
