whichever you take to the beach: please use a gearcover and tape off any unplugged holes.
(Oh, and please ship that CNC'ed moterplate over before you shoot the tranny; I'll send you the epoxy one that came with mine.)
All kidding aside: if you really can't fix it, I think I still have the spur adapter from before I bought the slipper as an option part and would be glad to trade it for the slipper parts.

so i have nothing but slipper troubles with this black A L trans, it will not behave ,its been getting steadily worse to the point where i put the ultima ball trans back in .
And have been f ing around with it over the last few weeks so after doing a compleat strip down clean and rebuild i even got a direct bolt on spur mount so no spring or slipper and took it out for a spin ,had the punch set as low as it would go its even worse . the motor spins the spur and pinon but if i hold the car and apply a little throttle nada neither the out drive turn
Do you think the balls need replacing ? i replaced them when i first got the trans but they were not in a sealed pack just a stapled baggy so they could have been used .

Are you sure its the slipper slipping? What type of diff lube do you use?. Carbide, steel, or ceramic diff balls. You might check that the parts clearance on the slipper is correct. Sounds like the slipper pad may not be thick enough. E.G. the slipper mechanicals are bottoming out before enough pressure is applied to the slipper pad itself. -Jeff
