Local consignment score
Re: Local consignment score
I just got through replacing a bunch of parts on my Optima Mid because someone went nuts with super glue.
No way to get that crap off.

If you are talking about chassis and plastic parts, acetone works well. Just soak them as you would rims. -Jeff

The only parts you would want to be careful with are the lexan bits. Not much you can do with those except sand and polish. -Jeff

Current status. Just need to add some more decals.
I replaced the stealth with an RPM 2.65 conversion and the Factory Works shock towers with the ebay carbon fiber versions. Otherwise, it's pretty standard. Oh yeah, did the 2.2 wheel/tire conversion too.

One time he was showing a kid how to start a model plane engine, puts duct tape over his knuckles:pancar wrote:Personally, I like the guys who Loctite EVERYTHING. Loctite on locknuts, on self-tapping screws, I even found one that had loctite on some e-clips! They are usually the same ones that use a half roll of electrical tape on the wires, but at least that's a step up from duct tape![]()
In the words of Red Green:
"If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy."
"If at first you don't succeed, then use more duct tape."
"You cannot make a fine quality lager using Kool-Aid Technology ..."
"Duct tape is like the force, it has a light side, a dark side and it holds the universe together."
DUCT TAPE RULES!!
"take the duct tape and put that where the cut will be..."

LOL! I think they're a little overpriced, but their graphic was neat and it matched well. Plus, I love redheads.
The wife is a redhead too.

No, I will not help you with your dorky short course truck…sorry, it’s against my religion. If it's not a 1/10 scale buggy...I don't care.

Re: Local consignment score
I updated the pics above. I added the RPM suspension arms. How come they never tell you what parts are compatible? I installed all four suspension arms, then went to add the RPM gear cover and it DOESN'T FIT!! WTF?
Apparently, the RPM arms require the use of the longer rear hinge pins, no problem, got a set of those. The extra arm material gets in the way of using the RPM gear cover. Ugh, thank god I had a standard gear cover in the parts box.
