But I'd still like to find a black or a gold tub with out extra holes
So I could restore my DS
Hmm how about a flat G10 chassis, same shape as the tub ??
like a mix between a TRX-3 and RC10DS
IMO, almost everyone loves to see pics of old race cars (especially ones that were used in non-conventional types of racing {i.e. speed run or 24 hour}, I know I do  ), so restore it like when you raced it (swiss cheese and all).

I like the idea with the G10 chassis, I have a fiberglass 10LSS that I built but never ran and thought about putting YR-4 running gear on it (sort of a hybrid in the spirit of the BJ4, TC3/TC4 running gear on an offroad platform), to use it as a touring car @ some vintage races, just to be different 8) But, self control got the better of me...or has it?

I used an AE CF chassis (the one with the "AE" logo) with the front kick up cut of for the lee mans chassis
it was totally smashed after the race and was used for scrap parts
I only used the black tub in one race b4 I switched to the CF tub that is on my 10t now

The Lee Mans chassis would be easier to make from G10 today

Oh and we used a Mercedes DS body
