i like that phoenix shaft, is that vintage or new?

Good job, well done minimini. I am still just playing with the differential.... and just finished trimming the gearbox

The project looks awesome. This is going to be an epic build. The red is perfect. Keep it coming...

I bought the phoenix shaft from yahoo.jp few months ago...........it is brand new.......I think it maybe the dead stock in some LHS in Japan..........

almost 70% finished now...........throw in four Asso gold shocks & adjusted the ride height ........added the rear anti-roll bar.........which is using the lohas alloy wing mount with some DIY modification.........

in one of the pictures.........you can see how the bellcrank is hinding under the front gear box.........you can also see there are eight screws in each rear arm...........

absolutely vintage

sweet shtuff, emerson needs to remake that for the hotshot, those would sell like hotcakes

the car is definitely not at the optimal setting by now............will leave the test drive later........

found a Bud's rear wing today........will replace the lohas' wing.........

doesnt get much better then this for tamiya mini, stunning buggy again sir. hope ya boiled those gears

Sorry you have to collect other vintage option parts by yourself which we are not able to do.

My Redshot could achieve 42Km/hour speed by using V8 white motor. I hope yours will be much faster.

Why cut the wing mount?....

I think I can speak on behalf of minimini: it is simply smarter to mount the wing on the rear shock tower!

I would do the same

I now understand why you ask me to give you one more shelf.

ahaha...........tiger1 is quite right.........indeed we are trying to follow the original Hot Trick/ Team Suzuki version as much as possible..........using wing wire is a must ........no alternatives........

just like I am using the vintage Asso gold shocks (I think tiger1 got the same opinion)...........which is more compatible with the hotshot era.......... really can't imagine a hotshot is using those modern shocks..........no no no.......... vintage guys are so stubborn.......

of course the lohas alloy wing mount can still be used as the rear anti-roll bar holder after the cut-down.......as you can see in the pictures.........

yes........tiger1 made the correct assumption.........he predicted that I will be doing something "special" about the wing mount........so he asked for one more in case I got any failure during the modifications........

Very nice! I admit that I don't know much about these Hot Trick conversions (don't remember them), but this is an extremely cool project. With that said, I still think looks-wise, the original Hot Shot is a beautiful and unique buggy.
