Its a Losi optional part (lightweight machined) - the CR came with the standard black motor plate..... however the Kinwald came as standard with the lightweight part but anodised blue
P.S; let me know if anyone has one NIP they'd be willing to sell - Its Losi part No A9920

Brandon G wrote:The C hubs and spindles are RPM parts, but I don't remember if the king pin camber link was made for this car specifically or if it was for a B3 or something. They are not SC10 parts though.
The slipper assembly and gearcover are SC10 sourced. I started pricing the slipper parts for Losi, and it added up quickly. The SC10 complete slipper I got off of ebay for $10. I would have spent $14 alone for the outer plates if I'd have stuck with OE. I did buy a Losi spacer and spring kit cause of the difference between the shafts, and I think it will work out allright. Besides it will make it easier to find spur gears now too.
I have no idea what body is on it!

the kinwald's motor plate was not machined at all, just anodised blue.
the king pin camber link was included standard in the kinwald xx-cr kit but you could choose to use it or not.

Nice! I like the shell
Pretty sure its the Jammin shell - its like the Xccelorator shell I brought off you but has that indent running up the nose to the front screen.
Re; the motor plate - I didn't realise the blue Kinwald motorplate wasn't the machined lightweight version.... I brought a blue lightewight plate for my XX BITD, but I think my local modelshop has a few of the silver ones anodised up... I remember my friend had a red one
I'm actually after the silver plate for my project - I have one on back order from a hobby store here in the UK (it was listed on their site) But I fear the're not available anymore.

I was suprised to recieve in the post the other day both the lightweight machined motor plate & 3/16 x 5/15" front wheel bearings, that I had on back order.... so it seems theres quite a lot of spares for the XX still buried deep in the store-rooms of modelshops

This buggy is now done and ready for some test & tune. Blue front springs will be swapped out for orange when it gets to the track.
David Wall will be piloting this car at the Vonats.

Rebuilding two XX's right now and I want to understand your carrier set up better having just fought to remove the stock ones only to have the bolt sheer off in the wheel carrier. I ordered replacement parts but may like this better.
So you have XX arms and RC10B3 carriers and axles? Did you have to modify the arms?

I believe the only thing that was done was to ream the outer hingepin hole to 1/8". I wish I could tell you more, but the car came with this already on it so I haven't paid much attention to it. Absolutely zero bump steer BTW.

This car is sweet! Love the newer style anodising on the shocks - it really makes the car look more upto date. Maybe threaded shocks would look even better!?
