cool info guys best topic ive seen in a while
so what will a com stick set me back and is it better than emry in the brush tunnel

i would use something like a 3n1 oil or mineral oil. a drop of 30wt, or some kind of graphite impregnated oil. pretty much a light oil will do the trick.....

Great topic. Did this to 3 of my old motors today.
Pulled them apart sprayed with wd40 and cleaned with paper towels
cleaned com and brushes with a com stick and the motors run like new again.

Denatured alcohol will also work for a motor bath. Personally, we use brake cleaner. To be specific, we use the Auto Zone brand of brake cleaner. As for oil; our preference is Break Free.

I've been wanting to post this product. This stuff works excellent as a motor cleaner, adhesive remover, great lexan polish and lots of other cleaning tasks including your paslode framing of finish nailer.
