More goodies
extra parts.jpg
I committed to these before I won the runner. These parts were FREE, just had to pay 5 bucks for shipping. Looks like this buggy will have an upgraded steering assembly, a new transmission and some decent rear spike tires for those green wheels.

I can wait to get this one together...it is turning out to be more exciting than I thought. I thought this was just going to be a project to revive this Raider and now it's going to have a bunch of hopups, and for cheep too.

Now all I need is a free body, anyone got one they want to donate

I made a little progress on the Raider today. I got some purple hardware, my rims were in, I got a green antenna tube, I made a aluminum plate for the new esc location...along with a different esc (Hammer Pro, not the 410-M5) and I got some nice gold Kyosho shocks, and front spike tires from my buddy Rod. Once that buggy and spare parts I got on line I can get a lot further.

I made a couple more plates, one for the gear cover and one to allow the receiver to be mounted lower on the chassis.

next step is to order a body. I'm going away for work again soon, so there is no sense in ordering it right away. It's going to have to wait a couple more weeks for that.

It looks great with such progress. I am honored I could help. Thank you and all the mbrs that either ask or refer people to me from this site because I get to see the parts I sell used. It makes me really happy.

I know, they are sweet! I seen them on RC10s, but never on the Kyoshos. I got one spare one, oddly enough the spare parts runner came with 2 on one shock because the set screw was stripped on one of them. I got it out and I'm going to keep it for a backup.

nice score. i always see them for the red kyosho shocks but i can never find them for the golds. i managed to get a set of HG ones for rc10 shocks but installed them on some gold shocks of mine but the set screw does not catch properly so they just act as nice looking spacers at the moment. you should dye a set of proline rears green and they still sorta match the fronts and wont be 1.5/6 rims

Got my free parts today, which means I got NIP transmission gears from pinion to diff. I got them all greased up and are now outfitted with bearings and not bushings :D

Out with the old and in with the new...I also am throwing in a Team Stock Phantom, just because it's green. I will likely swap it out because it's a 27t motor with 18t pinion...not sure what the final gear ratio is with this thing.

some copper pinstripes or text would work well with the green and black and gold shocks

Got the painting done :D ...no pin stripe, sorry. The decal sheet came with a lot of decals, adding pin stripping would be too much I think.
