Restoration Tips and Trick: YZ10

If one ever comes across old adhesive residue on a chassis, that is not ca-based, take a spray air can (i.e. duster), invert it, and spray the affected area with the super-cold fluorinated propellant, and then scrape gently with either a credit card or a piece of g10 (make sure that the card is of a softer material than the chassis).

Very good for you , but you owe the 'crazy' guy an apology. The manual tells you to use CA to secure the center reinforcement... at least that's the way I remember it

Sorry, I meant that other crazy guy... me...ha ha! I can see how that came off wrong, so my apologies to the designers...Got to be careful what you say around here. If I could go back in time I would have never used glue on the back bone, because two months after buying the kit I bought the jammin jay upper deck brace. I still have it but it was damaged in battle long ago.

Greetings again everyone,

Finally found some time to work on the restore. Quick question for everyone...is it safe to soak the original YZ10 wheels (see pic below) in Acetone to remove CA? I soaked a pair of aftermarket ones before and they were fine but not sure about OEM.
