Very nice how you left the molded in RPM logo in the original color. Did you mask it?
So.... I just bought an RPM kit (the entire shebang) and will likely be dying it black like you have done. Are there any known issues with warping, etc on large pieces (such as the RPM chassis)?
I am vaguely remembering some ill effect from dying my first RPM chassis black... but that was a looooong time ago.

I painted the RPM logo with a silver paint pen I kinda feel the same way about the battery strap I have a different Composite Craft battery strap I may useRon Jeremy wrote:Looks great!
How did you keep the RPM logo on the tranny case? Did you drop it on to something flat that was coated with paint? At first I thought you masked the dye, but now it looks silverish.
The battery strap does nothing for me though. uuuugly!
Beautiful build Jim. I especially like the rear tranny/clutch setup. This is worthy of Technacraft wheels not JPS!!

I would imagine it would be quite expensive but many of the parts I got at a discount and since I sold off a lot of the extras, this stuff was essentially free.FlyinGN wrote:That.. Sir.. is a work of art.. What do you think you have into just in parts cost???
Alex, I bought a set of wheels to use for my sprint car so the technacrafts on it will probably end up on my MIP graphite car and then I'll have an extra set. The thing is that I have all the stuff to do a composite craft worlds car so they may end up on that buildInetRC wrote:Beautiful build Jim. I especially like the rear tranny/clutch setup. I am going to be on the lookout for a viper or some other aftermarket body. I was interested in the Parma chenowth recently on ebay but GreedyHooptySmurf swooped them all up. I think the JPS wheels will look sweet on this machine.toymkr73 wrote:Jim that looks cool!!! what body are you going to use??
The other composite craft battery strap looks much betterbadhoopty wrote:i think the cc battery strap is fugly as well.
From what i have heard, boiling your parts actually relieves stress put into them by the injection molding project. People have reported better durability after the parts have been boiledRon Jeremy wrote:I just bought an RPM kit (the entire shebang) and will likely be dying it black like you have done. your welcome come againbadhoopty wrote:much cooler.
thanks for sellin' me the ugly ones.![]()
I never posted these for sale becuase I only had two of them. I think the other CC battery straps look good with the aluminum chassis but with all angles going on with a double decker, they just don't look as cool.
