i'd wouldn't mind seeing under that bruiser body. why don't you send it to me so i can take a better look. trust me, i'll send it back when i'm done with it at some point in time..
Man, it's nice to read those words and see that attitude for a change. That old Bruiser couldn't have gone to a better home. Well, except maybe mine.Der Kommissar wrote: I thought of building a scaler (something I've always wanted to do) but that will take even longer and there are so many of them cut up that I'd rather keep it correct.
I would agree on both accounts as well. The Bruiser is such a rare item and expensive to repair that I hate the thought of butchering mine up to build a scale rig. I can't afford to restore it either, not that mine needs much work in that respect.MelvinsArmy wrote:Man, it's nice to read those words and see that attitude for a change. It's down at my parent's. I'll tryo to post tme up this weekend in a seperate thread in the Vintage Tamiya sction.losiXXXman wrote:Hey Der,
When you get around to that Hot Trick Fox... will you be posting those pics in the vintage Tamiya thread or this one? Still anxious to see that.
Actually that is a Tamiya Sprint motor. What you are seeing is the black plastic Tamiya cover for the gearbox of a Hornet screwed loosely onto the pinion end of the motor. There was actually 3 of those motors in the lot. Good for the old school Tamiya purist I guess??Erich Reichert wrote:Wow dude thats awesome! Hey whats that giant pinion gear looking thing on that one motor?
